CHS Spotlight: This past Monday, before finals, our Link Leaders hosted a Snack ’n’ Study where freshmen showed up in large numbers to ask questions, review content, and feel more confident heading into finals week. Link Leaders did an amazing job tutoring and supporting their peers, and we are incredibly grateful to the many teachers who volunteered their time and classrooms to help make this event such a success.

The policy states that cell phones must remain in student backpacks at all times and cannot be kept in pockets; any student seen with a phone out during the school day, including in hallways, may receive a zero on their exam. Only school-issued Chromebooks are permitted for testing, and personal devices such as personal Chromebooks, iPads, or Macbooks are strictly prohibited from being brought to school. All non-testing devices, including cell phones and smartwatches, must be powered down and stored in a zippered pocket of a backpack, which will then be placed at the front of the classroom. Students are not allowed to access personal devices until they have exited the building to go home. Headphones are also prohibited unless they are part of an approved testing accommodation. Finally, students may not leave the classroom during the exam; in the event of an emergency, security will escort the student to the restroom, and under no circumstances can a student leave the room with a backpack or phone.
This graphic displays the Crestwood High School Semester 1 Final Exam Schedule, which takes place over three days from Wednesday, December 17th, through Friday, December 19th. The schedule follows a consistent daily format where the first exam session runs from 7:40 to 9:10 for 90 minutes, followed by a 10-minute break, and then a second 90-minute exam session from 9:20 to 10:50. Specifically, Wednesday covers 1st and 2nd hour exams, Thursday covers 3rd and 4th hour exams, and Friday covers 5th and 6th hour exams. After the testing blocks each day, there is a Teacher Duty Day with Lunch scheduled from 10:50 to 2:25. The bottom of the flyer includes a reminder for students to arrive on time and leave all personal electronic devices at home.
