![A flyer announcing the Michigan Teacher Appreciation Video Project from the Michigan Department of Education. The project invites students to record short, positive videos thanking their teachers so they can be featured on MDE platforms during Teacher Appreciation Month in May. The flyer explains that videos should be 15–30 seconds long, recorded on a phone or camera, and should clearly show and capture the student’s voice. Students are encouraged to share something positive about their teacher, include their first name, grade, school, and the teacher’s last name, and mention something specific they appreciate about their teacher. Videos must be submitted in .MP4 or .MOV format using the provided link or QR code. The flyer also suggests prompts such as “I like how [teacher name] teaches because…” or “Thank you [teacher name] for being my teacher!” and encourages students to be creative and have fun. Congratulations to Hillcrest Principal Nassrine Saad, Numeracy Coach Randa Abdallah, and Reading Interventionist Veronica Greenlaw, who presented on the coaching cycle and MTSS processes at Hillcrest at the Michigan Reading Association Conference in Lansing.
Their session was a great success, with many educators staying afterward to learn more about the impactful work happening in our schools. We are proud to see our staff sharing their expertise and representing the Crestwood community!
