Food Service

Our district is committed to providing every student with the tools they need to succeed,  including nutritious meals they can enjoy. We have been approved for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), a meal program option offered by the United States Agricultural Department (USDA) that allows us to serve school breakfast and lunch at no charge to all enrolled students, regardless of financial condition.

Help us ensure our meal program is a success!

Remind and encourage your child to take advantage of this opportunity and grab a school breakfast and lunch every single school day.

Parent may be asked to complete a Household Information Survey for Title 1 and 31a Benefits.  Failure to complete the survey will take away from educational programs.  Surveys will be sent home the first week of school.   Please return the completed survey to you child’s school asap, one survey per family household.

Don't Sit Still!

Students can achieve their best performance by combining good nutrition with physical activity. Two of the most Important factors that lead to a healthy lifestyle are choosing a healthy diet and being physically fit. When your student's nutritional needs are met it is easier to focus and learn. When they are physically fit they are more alert, more positive and enjoy a better quality of life.

Breakfast is Served!

A healthy breakfast is available in the cafeteria at all Crestwood Schools before the start of the school day.

  • Breakfast is available at all Elementary Buildings starting at 8:15am.

  • Breakfast is available at Riverside Middle School at 7:30am

  • Breakfast is available at Crestwood High School at 7:10am

The meal offers grains, protein, milk, fruits & vegetables daily to all students.   Plan on getting  to school early and joining  us for breakfast!

2nd Meals and Ala Carte Purchases

All students can receive 1 free breakfast and 1 free lunch meal daily. Students will still be able to bring a lunch from home if they choose. Milk can be purchased to go along with their bag lunch, the cost is $0.50. To receive free milk, students must take entire school lunch. Extra entrees and Ala carte items can be purchased with cash or if the student has money in their lunch account. Parents can put money in their student's account electronically using Parent Connect login under the food service tab to make an online food service payment. No charging will be allowed for any Ala carte items including extra entrees.

Still Hungry?

Crestwood food service allows students "second and more" helpings of fresh fruits and vegetables. If your student is still hungry after a serving of bread, protein, fruit, vegetable and milk they can receive additional helpings of  fresh fruits and vegetables, free! You can find nutrition Information from USDA on school meals here including the "My Plate" project where students can learn about balancing calories, colors and portion sizes to fit their nutritional needs.
